2014 WHAT CAR? AWARDS

 

We are delighted to announce that the Kia cee’d ‘1’ 1.6 CRDi 126bhp 6-speed manual ISG and the Kia cee’d Sportswagon ‘1’ 1.4 CRDi 89bhp 6-speed manual ISG have won their price points in the 2014 What Car? awards. The Kia cee’d ‘1’ 1.6 CRDi 126bhp 6 speed manual ISG was nominated in the ‘Best Family Car’ category and was awarded the accolade of the ‘Best family car less than £15,000’ and the Kia cee’d Sportswagon ‘1’ 1.4 CRDi 89bhp 6-speed manual ISG was recognised in the ‘Best Estate Car’ category as ‘Best estate car for less than £18,000’.

To see the cee’d 1.6 CRDi and the cee’d Sportswagon win the What Car? awards for being one of the best family and estate cars respectively in their price points, shows how Kia continue to develop and improve.

The Kia cee’d range comes with a choice of two petrol and two diesel engines, manual, automatic and Dual Clutch transmissions and pricing starts at just £14,395. The Sportswagon was added to the range for owners who want greater flexibility, whilst still having an estate car that is both stylish and environmentally friendly.

Both versions of the cee’d were designed and engineered at Kia’s Frankfurt design studios and technical centre and is made at the company’s Žilina plant in Slovakia, designed from the ground up by Kia’s celebrated Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer, best known for designing the Audi TT.
